This experience is the first major commercialization of Web AR and 8th Wall’s technology. Announced at the AWS re:Invent 2018 conference, fans can now bring Spider-Man into their world right from the web. Users can access the augmented reality experience instantly from a mobile web browser without downloading an app. Trigger leveraged 8th Wall’s brand new web-based, markerless AR solution that works on both iOS and Android and produced the content using Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) new tool, Amazon Sumerian, the web-based 3D content editor.
