Gucci partnered with Snapchat to create the first-ever real shoe try-on experience using augmented reality (AR). This allowed users to virtually try on the new Gucci shoes directly on their feet, move, walk, and purchase from the Snapchat app. By tapping into Snapchat’s widespread AR usage and close friends network, Gucci aimed to drive awareness, advocacy, and sales at scale.
