by OCBC
In Indonesia, OCBC NISP launched CurrenSHE to empower womenpreneurs who manage 64% of the country’s MSMEs but face financial exclusion. Using AR technology on banknotes, CurrenSHE transformed money into a gateway for these women to access tailored financial services, coaching, and funding. This initiative led to USD 193 million in loans to 1,248 womenpreneurs, a 38.2% increase. It engaged over 10,000 users, appeared 700,000 times on social media, and drew 150,000 to an AR art exhibition, sparking national and international dialogue on women’s financial empowerment and entrepreneurship.
